A man in North Carolina tried peeking under a fitting-room door — using a camera tied to his shoe, police say.

The unidentified man on April 30 went to a Mega Thrift store in Winston-Salem and attempted to take photos of a female shopper in the changing room, Crime Stoppers of Winston-Salem posted on Facebook.

Jenny Serrano said the man followed her through the store and was near her fitting-room door while she undressed, WXII reported.

“When I looked closer down into his shoe I noticed a camera strapped to his shoelace and I could see the lenses popping out of the camera,” said Serrano, who thinks the man made a video recording, WXII reported.

Photos of the accused “peeping tom” were released Thursday in the Crime Stoppers’ post and appear to show a man and a child inside the thrift shop.

“In this case, the suspect takes it a step further with an odd tactic; by carrying a baby while he violated women’s privacy in this store,” WFMY reports.

The Winston-Salem Police Department asks anyone with information about man’s identity or suspicious behavior at Mega Thrift to come forward, according to the station.
